What is New in the Group?

Last week, OMNIPOL presented itself together with its subsidiaries ERA, MESIT, Aircraft Industries and AERO Vodochody at the international fair of defense and security technology IDET in Brno.

The film Good Old Czechs, of which we are a partner, was seen by more than seven thousand viewers in Czech cinemas. Many schools followed up the screening of the film with a lesson using supplementary educational materials.

President Jiří Podpěra and Chairman of the Board Jozef Piga became members of the accompanying business mission of Prime Minister Petr Fiala. The trip included Manila, Jakarta, Hanoi, Astana and Tashkent.

ERA has extended its surface surveillance multilateration system at the Incheon International Airport in Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea. The customer and end user, Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC), accepted the SAT procedure of the first phase of planned extension and thus the enhanced system has gone fully operational. ERA is currently getting ready to start the second phase of its extension and modernization.

Tajik Chorog, is one of the three most difficult places in the world to land. It is not possible to land using instruments, due to the absence of ILS, but only by the human eye. There is also changeable weather, unfavorable terrain, mountains reaching to a height of over 6000meters, and across the river, over which the entire flight takes place, is the border with Afghanistan.

ERA announced that it had been chosen to deliver an ADS-B system covering the entire airspace of the Sultanate of Oman. ERA will supply a system consisting of several ADS-B stations as well as ADS-B data fusion and a management system by ERA.

This week, the AERO India air show is taking place at the air base in Bengaluru, where the Omnipol group is represented by representatives of OMNIPOL and Aircraft Industries. And they certainly have no shortage of visitors at the stand.

For the first time, a representative of the ground segment of aviation technology is, heading to the board of the, Association of the Aviation and Space Industry (ALKP). The leadership of, the largest industry association in the Czech Republic, will be strengthened by ERA CEO Ondřej Chlost.

The film Good Old Czechs, of which we are a proud partner, won the main Trilobit prize, awarded to it’s creators by the Czech Film and Television Union FITES. The documentary tells the true story about, World War 2, Czechoslovak RAF pilots.
