Looking back at the VIDEX exhibition in Hanoi

The OMNIPOL Group presented a wide portfolio of it’s hi-tech products, including the turboprop all-metal high-wing L 410 NG aircraft, unique passive surveillance systems and tactical communication systems.

The event was an opportunity for the OMNIPOL Group to further strengthen it’s position in this very important South East Asian country. Vietnam is a long-term important customer for the OMNIPOL Group, this year we delivered there L-39 Skyfox (formerly L-39NG) subsonic training aircraft.

The Vietnam Defence Expo is held every two years, this year it took place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese army. The Exhibition attracted significant attention, with 240 companies from around the world and dozens of state delegations participating. The days open to the public attracted thousands.

The Exhibition was opened on the 19th of December by, Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and with many high-ranking Vietnamese officials in attendance. Among the participants were, the Defence Ministers from Cambodia, Laos, Cuba, Belarus, Thailand, Brunei, and Mongolia.
