African Aerospace and Defense Exhibition, which ran from the 18th to the 22nd of September, is now behind us. The Omnipol Group, presented a range of products from it’s portfolio, with priority being given to the L410NG Aircraft from it’s Czech daughter company Aircraft Industries. The L410NG turboprop, all metal high wing aircraft was available for viewing by both delegations of experts and the general public, at both the Omnipol Stand and at the Exhibition Airport.
The L 410 NG, has it’s roots in the earlier iconic L410 family of Aircraft. The L410NG is still manufactured completely in the Czech Republic, by Omnipol’s daughter company, Aircraft Industries, at the same production facility located in the Czech town of Kunovice. The L410NG can safely and reliably operate in extreme climatic conditions from minus 50 to plus 50 degrees C. In addition, it can operate from 500 meter long runways both paved and unpaved.
The aircraft is multi-purpose, we are currently delivering it to a number of customers in several variants. In addition to the 19 passenger version, Aircraft Industries also produces a cargo version, MPA, medical plus a version for paratroopers. The L410NG can be rather uniquely modified for, the transport of patients with highly infectious diseases. Today only two other aircraft producers can provide such a modification.
AAD Exhibition which takes place every two years, is one the most important exhibitions, in the aerospace and defense industry. Look at the photos from this year.
