L 410 NG for Chile: Group OMNIPOL returns to Latin America

L 410 NG for Chile: Group OMNIPOL returns to Latin America
June 13, 2024 – The L 410 NG, manufactured in our Czech daughter company Aircraft Industries has a new customer. One aircraft designed in the passenger version, with preparation for an ambulance version, is heading to Chile.
The aircraft will proudly bear the colors of Aerocardal – one of the most prominent companies in Chile. Aerocardal operates civil aircraft on charter and domestic routes, business jets, turboprops, helicopters and certified aircraft for the transport of critically ill patients.

The L 410 NG, which will head to Chile in the fall, is just the first step in a new relationship. This week, OMNIPOL signed a memorandum of cooperation with Aerocardal. The company is set to become our strategic partner for developing future cooperation in the region, and we are also in talks for additional units to be supplied in the future.

Company representatives visited the Czech based Omnipol Group, as well as, our Czech daughter company Aircraft Industries this week, where they were able to see he progress of the production of their future aircraft.
"Thanks to this success, we are returning to South America. We continue to succeed in penetrating new regions with the four-tens," says Jiří Podpěra, President of the Czech based OMNIPOL Industrial Group. He adds: "There is great interest in the aircraft, after all, they are among the top not only in the Czech aviation industry."

Currently, about twenty L 410s remain in operation throughout Latin America. The highest number – about 50 aircraft – flew in the 2000’s.

Compared to the older L 410 UVP-E20 model, the L 410 NG offers improved flight parameters and operational characteristics, as well as more modern technologies and innovative avionics. In particular, it has a longer range and can carry 500 kilograms more cargo, than it’s predecessor. The luggage compartment has also been doubled.

The aircraft is completely constructed in our Czech based daughter company Aircraft Industries, with the involvement of 617 Czech companies in its production. Just for fun - 13,000 parts, 15,000 screws, 15,000 meters of cables and 180,000 rivets are needed to make one machine!
