The OMNIPOL Group’s participation in, NATO Days this year Ostrava Mosnov Airport, was in the role of Main Partner. The OMNIPOL Group, its daughter companies ERA, MESIT, Aircraft Industries and partner companies such as AERO Vodochody, Rohde & Schwarz and VRgineers all presented their products and capabilities at NATO Days, this year.

Omnipol as the Main Partner, presented the entire groups product portfolio and capabilities to everyone, both the public and VIP visitors. Both the Aircraft Industries, locally designed and built L410NG and the Aero Vodochody L-39NG carried out dynamic air displays, as well being in the static public flight display line. Both Aircraft attracted a lot of attention, and very positive comments. There were long queues for the possiblity to see live the cockpit of the L-39NG. Curious aviation enthusiasts, thoroughly interviewed the pilots and technicians of both aircraft.  The Omnipol Group VERA-NG passive surveillance system, from the ERA Pardubice based factory, was also on display.  Another big attraction for the guests on the Omnipol Stand were the flight simulators, from Prague based, partner company VRGineers. All visitors  had to do was sit in a special chair, put on their googles , and suddenly they were flying!

 

During the weekend, the Omnipol Group stand was visited by a number of very important domestic and foreign guests. We had the honor of welcoming the Czech Prime Minister, Mr. Petr Fiala or his Minister of Defense, Mrs. Jana Černochová. We were also visited by the Commander of the Czech Air Force, Maj. Gen. Petr Čepelka and the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces,ACR, Lt. Gen. Karel Řehka.

 

As for foreign delegations, visiting NATO Days, the Omnipol Group of Companies and partners presented their products and capabilities to important representatives of Army’s and Air Forces. This included delegations from Ethiopia, Lithuania or Slovakia. In the case of the Slovakian delegation it was led by the Minister of Defense of the Slovak Republic, by Martin Sklenár.

 

 NATO Days in the Czech Republic is the biggest security show in Europe and was visited during the 16th and 17th September, 2023 by a record breaking number, 185,000 people, beating last year's attendance by 75,000.
