OMNIPOL Group delivers two L 410 NG aircraft to Thailand

The aircraft were received in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, the Governor of Tak Province Mr. Chucheep Pongchai, the Director General of DRRAA Mr. Rachen Sillaparaya and the Deputy Director General of DRRAA Mr. Phaijit Khaokla.

The L 410 NG aircraft are equipped with, advanced cloud seeding systems and will serve a vital role in Thailand’s rainmaking operations. The primary mission of the DRRAA is to support the national rainmaking initiative, ensuring sufficient water supply during the dry season for Thai farmers and communities across the country.

“This delivery marks another milestone in the long-term cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Thailand, and underscores OMNIPOL’s commitment to providing high-quality, mission-ready aircraft tailored to the specific needs of its partners,” said president od OMNIPOL Group Jiří Podpěra.

Rainmaking, also known as artificial precipitation enhancement, is a weather modification technique that involves dispersing substances into the atmosphere to stimulate rainfall. Thailand’s rainmaking program was established by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX).

The L 410 NG aircraft, manufactured entirely in the Czech Republic, in the town of Kunovice by OMNIPOL’s daughter company Aircraft Industries. The L410 NG are renowned for their versatility, durability, and performance in challenging environments. With over 1,200 units produced and operated in more than 60 countries, the L 410 family has a long-standing reputation for reliability in both civil and special mission roles.
